Water Balloon Target Practice

Summer isn’t over yet. It’s still hot out and the kids need an outlet for the weekend. Let’s throw in some sensory play! This activity requires children think about how they control their body, manage the excitement and sometimes scariness of the balloon bursting as well as the splash from the water when the balloon breaks. Lots of fun and easy to do. Oh! And be sure to let the kids fill up the balloons themselves if they want to — that’s an activity within itself.

  1. Wow, what a great idea! It would also be great for my son Cody who is 6 and has not picked a dominate hand. We could practice using both lefty and righty. :-)
