Strength Is In the Ability to Start Over

We sure are good at beating ourselves up for the things we feel we didn’t do right, aren’t we? But let’s not forget that the real triumph is starting over within that minute to move forward and remember that we have the strength to manage what comes our way.

  1. LOVE this!! Raising a child w/ any type of special needs is so incredibly hard and it is filled w/ self doubt and constant beating yourself up. It can be made a lot harder when you have other people in your child’s life that add to the self doubt by telling you that things are normal and nothing to worry about or add to the beating up of yourself by also pointing out what you have done wrong or telling you what you should or should not have done in any given situation!! It is so nice to read something like this to remind you that tomorrow is another day and even if you did do things “wrong” you can just try again tomorrow!! So thanks for this post!!
